Weekend in New York : Part 2

Everytime we visit New York we try to do something we haven’t done before. That basically means we go eat at a good place we haven’t tried before.

Well, I woke up to the smell of bacon and this next to me instead of my beautiful wifey.

My bro-in-law is an awesome sculptor and this doesn’t do justice but he just has various things he works on around the house. Him and his wifey cooked up a mean breakfast for us so we were ready to hit the city!

Our first stop was my favorite store B&H. From my experience they are reliable, the have great customer service, almost any electronic equipment you can think of, competitive prices, and fast shipping. I pretty much ordered all my photography gear from them online.

The store practically takes up a whole block and is jammed packed w/ gear but very well organized. The photography service counter upstairs literally takes up the whole length of the store and it must have had like 60+ knowledgeable reps at each counter ready to help. You can basically bring your camera and try out any lens you want.

I tried out the Canon 50mm 1.2L lens and it was butter. If you ever think to bless me, a gift card to B&H is a way to my heart.

The next three are taken w/ the 50mm 1.2L lens.

Then we headed over to Central Park to walk around.

After all the walking around in the cold we got hungry so we headed over to Katz’s Deli as I mentioned in the last post.

Then we ended our trip by picking up pizza at Grimaldi’s and having ice cream at Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory and taking a quick snap under the Brooklyn Bridge. It was freezing by the time but it was a fun weekend without the kiddos. And a special thank you to my in-laws for watching them!

that (Asian) American Girl - Thanks for the pix/update! Not only did it look like a good time (B&H? *squeeeeal*), I got to see how you guys and S & Q are doing! :)

I remember being in that room with the skull. Somehow the face casts (with the lips and teeth were creepier, since I could imagine them opening their eyes!November 24, 2008 - 4:16 pm
