I love hanging out in New York so much and I feel like we did a lot in a short time there so I’m breaking this up in two posts. There are just too many pix for one post.
Last weekend wifey and I traveled to NJ/NY to attend a college friend’s wedding. It was so good to see so many old college friends who still look the same and some married with kids. Hello to everyone I saw!
And for those who follow me know that I love food. The food spread at the reception was just superb! You might have seen some pix on my facebook but I was too busy eating I hardly took pix of it. Here’s one though.
It was cool when Mitch sang a song that he wrote for Anna. He was rocking it! I remember Mitch teaching me some cool guitar tips and chords back in the college days.
It was cute and funny watching them dance because they were counting the beats as they were dancing and you can tell they practiced so hard. Good job guys. It was very nice!
My favorite part of the wedding happened during the ceremony though. During the honoring/greeting the parents part, Mitch went over to hug his mom and after the hug, his mom spontaneously give him a hi-five! That had everyone laughing.
So happy for Mitch and Anna!
After the wedding we headed over to New York to stay w/ my brother-in-law and hang out in the city. I’ll save that for the next post but here’s a quick preview of what’s to come.
We went to my favorite store B&H.
We walked around Central Park and took some photos.
Went to Katz’s Deli for an awesome Pastrami sandwich. So good, Hmmm! If any of you know of place like that here in the D.C. Metro area let me know!
Also went to pick up Grimaldi’s Pizza located under the Brooklyn Bridge to bring back home. But we had to have a slice before we hit the road. I’m still on a mission to find a good pizza place here too so let me know if you have a place in mind.
Stay tuned for the next post!
