Tina and John are the first wedding clients I officially booked for 2010. John somehow found me on the internet, and told me he had 10 potential photographers to choose from for their wedding. He then narrowed it down to two, then he finally decided on me because he loves my photos. I was so humbled and flattered because at that point most of my weddings had come from referrals, and for someone who I had no connection with to love my photos that much was unreal to me!
I always give my couples the opportunity to choose a location for their engagement session. Whether it’s a wedding or an engagement session my goal is make photos that my clients can cherish for a long time. If the photos are going to be meaningful to my couples, I want these sessions to take place at location that is meaningful to them! Whether it’s where you got engaged, your favorite date spot, a city you met etc…The photographs are for you, not me. From my experience, the couples feel much more comfortable at a special location they have chosen and therefore we end up producing better images as well!
Tina and John initially were thinking DC but they were not thrilled about it. After about a week or two later John emailed with the idea of doing it at UPENN! They met during grad school at University of Pennsylvania and they have fond memories there! I loved the idea!
The weather was gorgeous for our engagement session last week in Philly! We had a great time walking around campus getting some beautiful images.
John and Tina were nice enough to treat me to an awesome dinner at Distrito after our session too! The food was delicious and be sure to check out John’s blog for some food pics from that night. He loves food just like me:) so if you’re looking for some good spots for food check out his blog.

Thank you guys and I am looking forward to your wedding!!
