Made a trip down to Charlottesville, VA recently for Ghazal & Ben’s wedding weekend.
The night before the wedding an intimate outdoor rehearsal dinner was held at La Fourche, an historical estate property, and the weather couldn’t have been any better. It was great seeing close family and friends interact and have a good time. Many funny stories, photos and some old video footage of Ben were shared that got me cracking up. Then Ben, his brother and couple of his buddies rocked the house by playing African drums at the end of the night.
Thankfully the rain held off the next day for an outdoor wedding ceremony at Veritas Vineyard & Winery. Ben’s uncle officiated the American ceremony then the traditional Persian ceremony followed. It’s always great to see two different cultures come together, and I loved observing throughout the weekend how Ghazal’s father embraced Ben like a son.
Then the reception…I already told you Persians know how to party but so does Ben:) DJ Static was in the house to keep everyone entertained.
Then at the end of the night,
my favorite scene;)my daugther’s favorite scene from Tangled came to life;) Floating lanterns! They are real! All I could think about at the moment was wishing my daughter and wife were there with me to witness it.
Congratulations to you Ghazal and Ben and thank you for having me on your special day!
Thanks again to my faithful fellow photographer friend Julie Lim for making the drive down to shoot the wedding.
Hope you enjoy the photos.
I’ll start off with photos from the rehearsal dinner at La Fourches.
