New York City : iPhone photos

Last week I had the opportunity to attend PDN PhotoPlus Expo in New York City and had a great time!

It was great learning from some of the best photographers like Joe Buissink, Cliff Mautner and Bob Davis. And it was fun hanging out with friends and make some new friends in the business. I came away refreshed and refocused.

During my trip I decided to take photos with my iPhone instead of my DSLR and I loved it. That little device takes some nice images. My friend David Burke has a nice blog post on this topic that is worth taking a look.

So don’t be afraid to take photos with what you have. Take a photos of whatever you feel like taking photos of. If it has meaning to you then that’s all it matters.

You want to hear something surprising? Joe Buissink shoots wedding in ‘P’ mode on his camera. Yeah, the automatic ‘P’ mode(he calls it Professional mode) so that he won’t miss a moment.

Anyway, here are some of my NYC iPhone shots. I’ll see you back here soon.

Kara - Back visiting your blog after your amazing pictures of Danny and Grace… and wow are these amazing. They show that you are a truly talented photographer (not that we had any doubt) with pictures of this quality coming from a cell phone camera… and might I add, give a glimmer of hope to the rest of us. Thanks for sharing!November 18, 2009 – 1:04 pm

Theresa - Hey Peter! Joe Buissink’s seminar was truly awesome, wasn’t it? I still have to sit down and reflect on all the messages I got from the seminars! And I see that you went to Chinatown and tried the “soup dumplings,” so did I! And is that Brooklyn Bridge you went to? I went there too! :) October 29, 2009 – 8:45 pm
