Hope all you mothers had a wonderful Mother’s Day!
As we were celebrating Mother’s Day yesterday, my wise wife made a good point. She said something like, “Holidays like Mother’s Day are good, but it matters more what we do and how we live on a daily basis. I want to show appreciation to my mom everyday, not just on Mother’s Day. Just like the marriage is more important than the wedding day.” True dat sister, true dat…
The kids and I still honored her in little ways throughout the day by making her breakfast, giving her special cards they made, a short video, her favorite chocolate, some of her favorite foods, no cooking, no dishes etc… She was grateful. However, my challenge now is to live in a way that I’m honoring and blessing her in small ways throughout the year. And not just on Mother’s Day alone. We can apply this to other holidays.
