20 years ago today…

20 years ago(1989) today my dad passed away. He was 49, and I was 12. It’s crazy how time flies! I was thinking the other day that the years I’ve known wifey is longer than the years I’ve had with him.

20 years seemed like a good point to do a longer post honoring him and his life but I didn’t get to scan all the pictures I wanted and I just got too busy. But here’s one of my favorite pictures of me and dad.

I only have great memories of him and I am thankful for that. He wasn’t a perfect man but he was a great example of a man who pursued God, and a great father.

Halcyon House Wedding : Camilla & Richard – Peter Bang Photography » Washington DC Wedding Photographer - [...] this wedding was a little more special to me because having lost a father at a young age I can relate to her and her family more than I can express.
