Fershop : Rockville

In my pursuit of never stop learning, last week I attended Fer Juaristi‘s workshop, a.k.a., Fershop.

Fer is a wedding photographer based in Mexico, and I became familiar with his unique style of work recently through Fearless Photographers.

He humbly shared his philosophy, style and workflow and it was great to hear.
But more than that it was great to know that he’s just a regular guy, who’s genuine, works hard, and loves his wife and kids.

It was nice to meet some local photographers like Jaimie Hurst who I partnered with during a short shooting exercise and it was also great to meet JVS, the lighting master;)

Thank you Fer Juaristi for teaching and inspiring!

I love his content smile as he’s looking at his wife.
Here’s a photo of Jaimie Hurst. We had about 20 minutes to partner up with someone, get out of your comfort zone and experiment shooting under a lighting condition you normally don’t shoot in. We had fun:)

New Jersey Wedding : Kat & Anthony

It was an honor traveling up to New Jersey to end the 2011 wedding season documenting Kat and Anthony’s New Year’s Eve wedding!

Since Anthony’s family friends with Christine‘s family I got to see many familiar faces which made it feel like home away from home.

Kat and Anthony have such generous and loving hearts, and their large bridal party was testimony to that. They seemed to have deep affections for each of them. It was especially moving when all 4 best men during their speeches unanimously commented on Anthony’s loyalty and generosity as a friend.

Kat and Anthony, thank you so much for having me and congratulations!
Thank you to all the friends and family who were so kind in welcoming me as well. It was great seeing you.

Love this! In honor of Kat’s days as an ice hockey player
Kat and her twin sister:)
Cute moment when he tossed the ring pillow for the 2nd time:)
I love that Kat’s uncle walked her down the aisle and her father presided over the ceremony
Countdown to 2012!

Thank you for all the wonderful folks at Stone House at Stirling Ridge, Helga Schaefer for 2nd shooting and The Infernos Band who rocked the New Year’s Eve wedding party!
